The Role:

As VP Product, UX & Digital Services, you are accountable for defining the end to end digital & e-commerce Product vision and guiding a product leadership team in executing on our Product Roadmaps, including connecting the strategy across all parts of the organization. The VP Product, UX & Digital Services will build and lead a world class Product organization (including adjacent functions to empower the team – eg. UX, research, experimentation, personalization) to rapidly adapt to changing customer and market needs and support long term sales growth, profitability and customer experience for the enterprise. This person will report to the SVP, Loblaw Digital and be a member of the Loblaw Digital Senior Leadership team, where they will be a key contributor to the overall strategy, culture and evolution of our organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Have the obsession to drive great digital experiences for Loblaw by growing and leading a high performing teams in an agile development environment that values data, insights, experimentation & best in class experiences.
  • Develop and articulate a vision for the product, ux & digital services organizations, as well as our approach to digital across the entire enterprise
  • Ensure consistent and timely delivery of new features and outcomes, while ensuring the customer is at the centre of all decision making.
  • Own and champion product & marketing excellence through establishment of group-wide metrics for measurement with a consistent, regular process for assessment and continuous improvement.
  • Interface with a diverse stakeholder base – business leaders, engineering leaders and partner business & technology organizations.
  • Identify and develop emerging capabilities to support the rapid evolution of LCL products & services, uncovering new, valuable offerings for the enterprise (eg. Marketing Intelligence & DMP to enable and run Loblaw Media, Experimentation to enable Product, Accessibility to enable compliance and accessible product development)
  • Drive a user centric product management approach – balancing focusing on user problems with business outcomes and building solutions around them
  • Support critical enterprise objectives through our expertise and capabilities
  • Create an environment that fosters high quality, metrics-driven experimentation and leads to impactful improvements with brand-positive business impact.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 12+ years of digital marketing, e-commerce & product management experience, creating compelling consumer digital products.
  • Broad working knowledge and experience leading end-to-end expert Product Management and Design teams working in an agile operating model
  • Broad working knowledge and experience developing and executing capabilities in demand generation, email & marketing automation, targeting, personalization – all to drive scalable growth and profitability
  • Experience operating in a large, complex, matrixed, multi-channel retailer or consumer facing business
  • Evidence of having shaped the strategic product roadmap for a large-scale enterprise and implemented change, driving meaningful business results
  • Prior leadership experience managing a number of teams & functions concurrently
  • Excellent understanding of the Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong inter-personal skills including ability to work in a cross-functional environment and communicate with all levels of the organization, building strong relationships within the enterprise.
  • Eye for talent and a history of building high performing teams.
  • Decisive, confident, and experience with influencing others with a strong sense of urgency, accountability and ownership.
