Role Overview:
The Senior Systems & Cloud Architect, Team Lead, is accountable for providing Level 2 & 3 IT Support Services, Infrastructure and Operational services across Weston Foods North America. Along with IT Senior Management, Senior Systems & Cloud Architect, the Team Lead develops an effective and workable framework for improving internal customer IT support and operations in the organization.


  • Accountable for maintaining IT Support SLAs required to meeting business reliability and performance targets
  • Manage, communicate and escalates complicated support issues that cannot be resolved by the Service Desk or that need IT Senior Management visibility because of the company impact
  • First management level of escalation for incidents (During and after business hours)
  • Responsible for ensuring Server & Storage infrastructure services security protection is maintained
  • Monitor and report server & storage services vulnerability and security risks
  • Monitors overall infrastructure for continued reliability & security to ensure protection for corporate systems and operations
  • Participates in the business planning & budget for information technology
  • Recommends system direction, additions & changes to ensure the security of future business requirements
  • Review periodic and ad hoc operational security and compliance reports and determine corrective action plans
  • Review audit evidence for audit and compliance reporting
  • Provide 24/7 support on-call in rotation and shift based support for operations security related incidents
  • Responsible for providing Server and Storage architecture drawings & documentation
  • Maintain server & storage services planning roadmap for security tools for maintenance and enhancements
  • Accountable for maintaining Operations SLAs to meet business targets for reliability & performance
  • Organise and enforce the IT internal controls following the IT audit plan, ensuring all IT systems and company employees are compliant
  • Carries out supplementary IT tasks, oversees new IT technical installations, works with staff on application integration projects and contacts independent vendors, if needed
  • Technical expertise, guidance, direction & coaching is provided to clients, peers & management, ensuring all aspects of system architecture & applications are considered in business decisions & technical resources are available to support clients
  • Implement system backup & restore programs to make sure that the company information is stored and protected based on the company retention policies
  • Develops problem management initiatives to determine root cause and improve services
  • Recommend metrics and templates to evaluate technical support issue response times and solution solving skills of his team
  • Assist in the preparation of the IT budgets (Operational & Capital)
  • Assist in the creation of business plans to maintain services levels
  • Plans for purchasing new equipment, hardware and software
  • Acts as escalation leader for all security and operational incidents relating to IT operations on infrastructure
  • Provides troubleshooting and issue resolution in a timely manner
  • Follows the Disaster Recovery Plan (DR plan) in the event of a technology failure
  • Performs the regular IT disaster recovery tests during the year to make sure the process/ systems / infrastructure function and are up to date in case of any eventuality
  • Leads a team of technical professionals to address all technical requirements of employees, consultants, professionals and staff members using IT in the organization
  • Develops strong business relationship with Business units
  • Ensure the team adheres to IT policies and best practices delivering outstanding customer service and satisfaction to employees across all locations
  • Supports the changes to be implemented to reduce the risks & increase the success of implementations
  • Maintain a list of all known risks and vulnerabilities and remediation processes are implemented to protect corporate information and assets
  • Monitors employee satisfaction & is proactive in addressing issues that threaten productivity or morale


  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written) with a strong consulting presence with the ability to create technical proposals, business cases, and risk assessments
  • Must be equally comfortable building hands-on solutions in a team environment as advising in a leadership role
  • Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a complex & sophisticated technical environment
  • Minimum 3 years of IT Support-desk (Service Desk), operations & support
  • Broad and in-depth technical expertise in multiple disciplines especially Client/Server, Cloud Computing Services (Azure, SalesForce, etc.) Internet services, WEB & Middleware
  • Ability to define, detail and deliver strategy, specific to cloud services – Azure, SAP HEC, etc.
  • Ability to create an agenda of innovation
  • Adept at managing managed services partners/vendors
  • Working knowledge of & experience in enterprise technical infrastructure, IT financial budgets as well as procurement procedures & strategies
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills & attention to detail required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
