Position Summary

As a Forms Developer/Systems Analyst, you will participate in the completion of complex projects for various Homewood departments. These projects will involve analyzing business requirements as well as writing, installing and maintaining software and eForms to meet business needs. Projects will usually require significant hospital/clinical process knowledge combined with excellent technical skills. You will act as a “consultant” to the business.

What you’ll be doing

• Participate in the development of operational and project management processes
• Co-ordinate activities with end users and managers; define objectives, define solutions
• Develop standards and collect business requirements
• Create and maintain appropriate technical user documentation
• Define the length of request/project by phases with emphasis on implementation; programming, training, and post implementation follow up
• Analyze system requests and define the scope of the request
• Write, configure, maintain, and install computer applications to meet the defined requirements
• Provide on-going support and train users as necessary
• Ensure design meets requirement, falls within scope of request and that the team signs off on any design work
• Work closely with the Clinical Informatics team to develop training manuals and e-learning, in addition to acting as a technical resource on complex problems
• Work independently on projects, but work closely often with other Enterprise Application staff, Clinical Informatics staff, and external consultants to complete large projects
• Provide support to the Help Desk and Clinical Informatics teams when necessary
• Assist with developing standards and security processes
• Develop and implement cross training between team members to ensure support of critical job functions
• Participate in team building activities and support training of junior staff

What we’re looking for

• Technical skills include many or all of the following:
• HTML
• InfoPath design and development
• SQL Server & relational database design
• VB.NET experience
• TSQL (Microsoft SQL Server)
• Javascript
• Experience with libraries (Backbone and Backbone Marionette, Moment, Lodash/underscore)
• Understanding of the fundamentals of SQL 2016
• Database design, report writing and programming experience (MS SQL, DB2, Progress, SSRS)
• Data Analysis / ETL tools
• Business Analysis experience
• Exposure the various industry applications
• JSON and TSQL would be an asset
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service focus and demonstrated initiative
• Proven leadership in creative problem solving
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
