Position Description

The systems administrator, infrastructure is a member of a group of administrators responsible for the management and evolution of the company’s server and network infrastructure. Within this team, he ensures the proper functioning of the software infrastructures under his responsibility as well as the proper operational management and evolution of the systems.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the infrastructure environments under his responsibility to ensure the availability, reliability, security and integrity of the systems.
Ensure compliance with policies, standards and procedures related to infrastructure management.
Participate in projects to implement or upgrade software packages with stakeholders from other IT sectors in order to identify the changes that will be required to the related infrastructure components and ensure that they are carried out according to high quality standards.
Recommends and implements performance capability management approaches for the elements for which he is responsible.
Participates in the development of standard configurations and the development of specific solutions based on project and/or user requirements.
Ensures the proper functioning and security of the infrastructure at all times
Provide third-level technical support to users in different sectors of the company
Promote IT best practices in infrastructure management and user support.
As a member of an operations team, the administrator may be called upon to be part of a 24/7 support rotation.
Be able to provide and identify the metrics required to produce dashboards that proactively identify maintenance requirements for the environment.
Assist the Senior Infrastructure Analyst in :

Develop and document procedures for the infrastructure components under his responsibility.
Document the installation and technical specifications of the infrastructure including security, and succession plans.

QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE

Academic training

College diploma in computer science and/or any combination of equivalent experience
Microsoft certification (asset)
Experience

7 to 10 years of IT experience including 5 years in systems administration, in a Windows environment with Active Directory, MS Azure, AzureAD, Office365 (Exchange online, Team, OneDrive, etc.).
Experience and good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and products such as Windows Server, Exchange (2016, online), SCCM, SCOM, etc.
Knowledge

Good knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol, Internet services (DNS, FTP, etc.), Windows family protocols.
Good knowledge of the following tools and environments:
Windows Server
AD, Azure AD
Office 365
Exchange (2016, online)
Certificates
Airwatch
Citrix
Experience with the ITIL framework will be considered an asset
Experience working in an Agile-Scrum team will be considered an asset.
Skills

Good oral and written communication skills in both English and French.
