An SDE II is a significant autonomous contributor whose work is consistently of high quality. The SDE II on SPH team will design and implement new features, or significant portions of large features for the Selling Partner Health charter. SPH is a growing space with the goal of building tools and automation that helps the Risk Investigators and Risk Program Managers to detect, remove and save Amazon from data sharing abuse.

An SDE II understands the team software architecture and makes technical trade-off decisions at the application level. SPH leverages an n-tier architecture and multiple service integrations with other teams. The technologies used in SPH vary from single page JavaScript applications and Python Scripts to Java Services and Kotlin tools. Understanding where to implement changes and which tools to use is necessary to ensure SPH architecture is evolving in the correct direction.

An SDE II’s influence is primarily within a team (at the product level). Begins to Mentor and develop peers.
