Our group (FLASH) has been entrusted with accurate and timely recording of financial events for Amazon’s revenue generating businesses. As a member of the team your work will directly impact the way financial data is processed, retained, and managed at Amazon scale. Working closely with best-in-class engineers, scientists and principal engineers you will have the opportunity to work on one of the world’s largest data sets to influence the long term evolution of our technology roadmap.

• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Passion for creating reliable and maintainable systems
• Strong communications skills
• Experience working in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional business and software development teams.
