Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research and Global Capital Markets.
We are looking for a responsible java developer to help deliver complex solutions. We need people to demonstrate enthusiasm, innovation, technical excellence and interpersonal skills. The candidate will need to collaborate with clients and other developers to build the best possible solutions together.

A finance background is not a requirement, but our team builds systems for the life cycle management of Baskets (Custom basket, ETF, etc). Because the firm depends on our processes, we need to consider multi-threading, scalable solutions, testing and careful communication of all changes. Although the role is predominantly a development role, we do have a level 3 support requirement.
– Java development experience
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Good trouble shooting and debugging skills
– Working knowledge of database concepts (SQL, stored procs, schema design)
– Working knowledge of a scripting language; Python and/or Perl preferred
– Experience in formal software development lifecycle (SDLC)
– Experience in test-driven development
Knowledge of French and English is required.
