The SRE Team
Our team is responsible for the availability, reliability and the performance of eBay’s core services.
We are leading the debugging, triaging, troubleshooting and fixing of our systems and application issues in production. All of this is done by using Machine Learning algorithms, as well as tools for prevention and mitigation.

This is your chance to make a real impact while ensuring availability, reliability and performance of eBay’s platform applications. You will handle with our huge scale of data, which contains billions of transactions, as well as guide our engineers about writing code faster, scalable and resilient.
You will focus on ensuring the proper code instrumentation, building observability tools and automation, driving the application performance, resiliency, capacity, scalability, production operations and post incident processes.

What shall you bring to the table?

  • BSc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • MSc. – advantage.
  • Experience in one or more areas in systems engineering: compute, networking, storage, network security, load balancing, databases.
  • Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design.
  • Deep hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Java, Python, Go, Perl, Ruby, C, C++ or Node.js.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities.
