Responsibilities:
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will:

  • Partner with the Software Engineering team to review architecture/design and provide feedback and guidance as it relates to the customer experience
  • Troubleshoot the availability of the service
  • Define metrics and analyze system performance
  • Drive process improvements within the team and the larger organization as a whole
  • Partner with the software engineering and production support teams to resolve issues
  • Drive bugs/DCRs related to problem management tickets
  • Help to identify the cost associated with each problem management ticket
  • Document processes, best methodologies and technical instructions for Support Groups based off the problem management findings
  • Identify trends that generate customer calls, review community data, and use that data to drive improvements back into the product

Create automated diagnostics to isolate and, ideally, remediate customer issues

Qualifications:
Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Passion for customers
  • Demonstrated experience in Client Side Support and Hardware/OS troubleshooting skills
  • Proven experience with building and supporting services, including logging, monitoring, alerting, and measuring reliability and availability.
  • E xperience with Windows 10 operating system
  • Experience with iOS and Android devices and operating systems preferred
  • Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Software Engineers, Program Managers, Security Researchers, and Data Scientists
  • Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision making skills
  • 3+ years’ experience leading supportability and troubleshooting the availability of applications, properties, systems, networks, and servers for high availability enterprise systems
  • Microsoft certification in one or more disciplines desirable (MCSE, MCDBA, or similar)

Preferred Experiences and Technologies:

  • Development experience using common object-oriented or functional languages
  • Azure DevOps and GitHub tooling
  • Data mining or data science experiences utilizing Big Data and or relational database technologies.
  • Development experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
