About the Opportunity
As a DevOps Developer, you would be responsible for deploying, automating and maintaining the common and standardized infrastructure that all teams at Moat use on a daily basis.
You will be an integral part of the team that owns our cloud systems and the tools that run on them. You would help to manage and maintain our Kubernetes cluster, automated testing and deployment pipelines and standard stack provided to internal teams running on IaaS platforms such as AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
You will strike a balance between writing automation scripts, deploying and maintaining services, monitoring running systems and collaborating with other teams to help them successfully launch the tools and processes for which they are responsible. You will be responsible for delivering on automation and platform architecture implementation goals, ensuring monitoring and reliability across a number of mission-critical pieces of infrastructure and sharing your knowledge with others.
You will share on-call duty with others in the DevOps group and coordinate with other support teams to ensure that Moat’s servers and systems run smoothly 24/7.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration
• A track record of managing servers and services
• Experience being “on call”
• Fluency at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, Go, etc.)
• 2+ years of solid experience with one or more public clouds (AWS, Google, Azure, OCI) and applications that run on them
• Experience with managing Linux servers (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)
• Experience with managing/deploying at least one relational database (RDMS) and at least one “alternative storage” solution (such as Redis, Couchbase, MySQL cluster, Hadoop etc.)

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
