What is the opportunity?

EUS Mobility is seeking a Senior Analyst – Data Engineer. In this role, the chosen candidate will act as the lead Data Analyst and Engineer for the myMobility Analytics and Strategy team. The role consists of collaborating with myMobility Operations and Provisioning teams to develop, maintain and present data models and reports in order to foster data-driven decision making across the EUS mobility team, and with our Line of Business partners. Through this, the team aims at enhancing operational and asset management processes so that we may have more efficient and effective solutions.

Create and maintain reports, dashboards and models on EUS Business Insight (BI) tools and Service Now, pertaining to mobile provisioning processes, compliance, incidents and business operations. Develop procedures and systems to monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues and build resiliency in our databases.

Support the Mobility Strategy and Analytics team’s development of cost-benefit analysis and insight reporting on business operation trends.

Work closely with Technology and Operations’ community of Architects, Developers and Analysts to design a data strategy that employs best practices as it applies to the storage, automation and use of data. Ensure data architecture aligns with RBC best practices.

Collaborate with provisioning and technology partners to innovate and improve IT Asset Management operations. Assist in the implementation of myMobility in Telephony Expense Management, Asset Management and AI technologies. Build and execute integration testing for procedures that impact the state of asset data.

What will you do?

  • Design, develop, test and maintain data & analytics architecture for EUS Mobility; aligning to RBC standards and industry best practices to enhance resiliency, efficiency and quality of data
  • Manage, acquire and prepare datasets and databases to be used in predictive and perspective data modeling for myMobility
  • Perform administrative and developer duties such as maintaining our Virtual Machine, attending SCON Reviews.
  • Develop and maintain the EUS Mobility Tableau Dashboards and Service Now reports so that the business and executive teams can understand asset management, usage, spend and user experience data as it relates to myMobility
  • Collaborating with Asset Management Subject Matter Expert, guide the integration of myMobility product and asset management data with the Telephony Expense Management and Asset Management tools
  • Analyze and contribute to the enhancement of mobility operations by developing tools that will automate and streamline some of the day-to-day activities (e.g. creating rule based alerts, automating actions)
  • Prepare ad-hoc data reports and insights for Business and Executive stakeholders
  • Working with internal EUS Technology partners, support plans to integrate Machine Learning to enhance operations
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience specializing in Business, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or Statistics.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Engineering or relevant Programming Experience, working with Python/Java, SQL to design, build and maintain relational databases an Business Insight Dashboards
  • Experience with building robust data and analytic pipelines as well as to leverage APIs in order to automate operations
  • Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and solve complex business needs both independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Nice to Have

  • Understanding of concepts and processes related to data management, such as Critical Data Elements (CDEs), data architecture, data models, data lineage, data quality, data dictionary, etc.
  • Experience working on data projects, especially as it applies to IT Asset Management and product usage and experience trends.
  • Ability to foster relationships with internal and external technology partners in an effort to streamline data storage, modeling and operations
  • Empathetic outlook; ability to understand user experience and implement design thinking principles in the design of data models and tools
  • Experience with or knowledge of Agile and Design Thinking Software Development methodologies.
