What is the opportunity?
As a Private Banking Portfolio Analyst, you will oversee a rapidly growing credit portfolio serving high net worth retail and wholesale clients. You will be the subject matter expert and resource for the proactive management of the quality and compliance of the credit portfolio. You will make sound recommendations and participate in initiatives to improve and standardize practices, keeping at the forefront the need to build a scalable and sustainable model. In this role, you will also contribute to transformational initiatives across the business that improve how Private Banking delivers on its value proposition to clients and that enhance risk oversight of the credit portfolio, leveraging automation and data whenever possible.
What will you do?
Identify opportunities that enhance risk oversight of the portfolio and that focus on mitigating risk in an effective, efficient, and automated manner whenever possibleContribute to transformational initiatives across the business that improve how Private Banking delivers on its value proposition to clients and that enhance risk oversight of the credit portfolio, leveraging automation and data whenever possibleReview portfolio management reports and internal systems to proactively advise emerging trends and communicate these to senior management in a clear and concise manner, recommending and implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategiesLeverage data to highlight areas of concern and drive appropriate behaviours through engagement of the appropriate partnerDevelop and implement well-established routines to ensure effective and productive oversight of the credit portfolioEnsure portfolio and risk management practices are adhered to, provide coaching to the team as well as feedback to the Regional Director, Credit Structures, and Director, Portfolio Management, as requiredEnsure credit policies and processes are being adhered to within the region focusing on items identified in audit reviewsProvide feedback and recommendations to Regional Director, Credit Structures, Vice-President, Regional Vice-President, and Director, Portfolio Management, on any risks identified within the regionWhat do you need to succeed?
