The impact you’ll make

As Publisher Ad Operations Manager at Loblaw Digital, your role is to maintain and advance our publisher ad serving capabilities. You will be responsible for smooth ad operations on our owned and operated media and collaborating with product development for advancing our advertising solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with product management and development teams to identify, consult, and assist in the deployment of advertising solutions that enable clients to engage audiences across our properties
  • Ensure GAM set-up and changes of product hierarchy allows for efficient reporting, targeting and optimizing
  • Work extensively in Google Ad Manager and serve as the key expert in the platform
  • Serve as a trafficking expert, defining the set-up, optimization, and execution of campaigns, both in a hands-on capacity and as a leader reviewing teammates work
  • QA various tags provided by clients and troubleshoot ad serving errors, implement QA checklists and escalation process
  • Assist in the productionizing of new ad solutions from end to end
  • Engage with teams responsible for ad production and web content management systems
  • Cultivate a team of ad operation specialists responsible for planning and executing digital media campaigns on owned and operated media
  • Develop process improvement and set relevant policies for optimizing efficiency and performance
  • Monitor campaigns for client KPIs, overall performance, health metrics and create client-facing reports
  • Work closely with accounting, revenue and yield management teams to institute sales pipeline and billing practices
  • Support sales team to identify and communicate account growth opportunities for our clients
  • Create a regular cadence for and/or automate dashboards for digital inventory forecasts on owned & operated platforms for sales and ad operations team to ensure accurate pricing and the delivery of campaigns

Does this sound like you?

  • 6+ years of experience working for a digital publisher in an ad operation role
  • 3-5 years as a power user of Google Ad Manager, Google Publisher Tags,
  • Proven track record of management skills
  • Excellent decision making and resourcefulness to solve problems, both technical and non-technical
  • Knowledge of web design, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and content management systems
  • Knowledge of mobile ad technology (Platforms, Devices, Operating Systems, mobile SDKs)
  • Exposure to or use of digital analytics tools, such as Adobe Analytics (formerly known as Omniture) and Google Analytics 360, and other marketing technologies such as Conversion Pixels, Adobe Audience Manager, etc.
  • Comfort with technical documentation, working in a software development context and independently developing innovative solutions
  • Team player – the success of partner teams is our success
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Product management, web development or tech background is a bonus
  • SQL experience a bonus
  • Relationships and experience with SSPs and header bidding a bonus
