The Key Account Manager (KAM) will report to the National Account Manager and play an integral role in driving world class account management initiatives by working closely with the customer, in collaboration with cross functional teams (marketing, supply chain, category management, and finance) to expand our digital footprint and increase market share in Canada. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and develop a career in their market leading organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate best in class account management to maximize Revenue and Profit in line with company strategy
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to lead promotional, marketing and joint business plans for assigned accounts
    • Successfully pitch, secure and launch new products in line with company strategy
    • Negotiate programs and agreements for assigned accounts upon renewal
    • Prepare presentations, business reviews, and sales reports that identify areas for improvement and business opportunities
    • Work with the Category Management teams and a variety of data sources to report POS, trends, factors impacting the business, etc.
    • Monitor stock levels and jointly produce forecasts; reporting & tracking on a monthly basis
    • Gather and communicate competitive factors impacting the business (i.e. new competitive items, competitive promotions, etc.)

    • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, complimented by effective oral and written communication
    • Strong analytical skills to gather and analyze large sets of data
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to build and maintain effective relationships
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Education and Experience:

    • University degree
    • Prior experience in sales with consumer products/consumer durables required
    • 2+ years of account management experience preferred

Additional Requirements:

    • Able to travel 20% of time within assigned territory and to Boston
