The successful candidate will participate in the Integrated Design Team and provides expert advice for the requirements definition verification and validation.

You will also provide expert advice on all network, IT or Cybersecurity topics for the definition of the verification and validation methods of the technical requirements and for the definition of the test objectives for the testable requirements.

Finally, the individual will prepare the strategy for the project integration and testing. In addition, coordinating the integration and testing in-plant and at project sites in accordance with the test plans and procedures are under your prevue. along with preparing the test automation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understands the customer’s needs and prepares the IVVQ strategy meant to satisfy these needs
  • Coordinates the analysis of system, subsystem and software requirements and the definition of the applicable test objectives
  • Plans and coordinates integration activities in-house and at project sites to mitigate the key project acceptance and commissioning risks
  • Supervises the integration and test activities both in-plant and in the field ensuring application of standards, best practices/procedures and measuring the work quality
  • Investigates integration anomalies through review of data files, design documentation and through interaction with the development teams
  • Coordinates the project verification and validation work, including the preparation of the test plans
  • Provides expert analysis and recommendations to resolve system integration and commissioning problems and risks
  • Provides expert advice and recommendations to increase the efficiency of the IVVQ work both in plant and at project sites
  • Directs and reviews the work performed by the IVVQ team members
  • Trains and develops the skills of the IVVQ team
  • Optimizes in-house testing vs field testing, coordinates the development of the operational and stress / bust-it testing
  • Communicates with engineering stakeholders on test and verification related topics
  • Coordinates the preparation of system and subsystem requirements verification matrices
  • Performs independent review of the test results
  • Coordinates the execution of formal tests within the laboratory
  • Prepares integration and test reports which record the pass/ fail status of planned tests and identify problems detected during the tests
  • Prepares trip reports upon completion of field assignments
  • Develops expert product knowledge through active participation in formal and on the job training, as well as self-study
  • Assists in the development of IVVQ schedules and the associated progress reporting
  • Coordinates the development of IVVQ processes and tools
  • Ensures that the IVVQ team adheres to company’s processes

Required Skills and Experience:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, System Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
  • More than 8 years of relevant working experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Expert knowledge in Network / IT/ Cybersecurity domain
  • Hands-on experience on Active Directory, Domain Controller, Windows Server
  • Knowledge on the following protocols: IPsec, IKEv2, LDAP
  • Solid knowledge in Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V,VM Ware, AWS)
  • Expert in handling the technical leadership of a small to medium test team
  • Can work autonomously and/or within a team
  • Able to quickly integrate with the team and provide mentoring and coaching
  • Solid knowledge of railway signaling techniques, including SelTrac CBTC
  • Expert knowledge of task planning, including estimation, performance tracking and reporting
  • Practical experience in using typical programs which are part of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Expert knowledge of the roles and activities of other departments that are related to IVVQ
  • Understanding of basic engineering management practices for supporting project planning and scheduling
  • Competence in technical leadership
  • Knowledge of Engineering risk and decision making process
  • Solid knowledge of state of the art working practices (CI/CD/CT), automation and agile methodologies
  • Expert knowledge of in-house and field integration methods and procedures
  • Good analysis skills, able to diagnose issues based on test logs and correlate events to failures
  • Solid knowledge of data communication systems
  • Solid knowledge of simulation systems
  • Expert knowledge of troubleshooting techniques
  • Expert knowledge of testing real time embedded mission critical systems
  • Expert knowledge of in-house and field testing techniques
  • Experience in developing scripts for test automation
  • Expert knowledge of System Engineering principles, life cycle models and requirements analysis
  • Expert knowledge of requirements compliance mapping
  • Expert knowledge of software verification and validation processes
  • Solid knowledge in monitoring solutions
  • Network certifications (CCNA, Security+, Cisco. Huawei, etc.) are an asset
  • Professional Engineer Licence would be an asset
