About the team
The Intelligent Enterprise Group, headed by the CEO, Christian Klein, drives SAP’s digital core development functions and product engineering, including SAP’s flagship product SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Digital Supply Chain, and manages SAP’s rich industry-specific portfolio.
This organization is also responsible for making SAP an Intelligent Enterprise by focusing on business process simplification, global IT Services and cloud infrastructure, product and services quality, portfolio and investment strategy, intelligent data and analytics, and value achievement through digital innovation adoption to the best of both customers and employees.
Intelligent Enterprise Solutions (IES) provides efficient IT solutions, technology and operational support to our Lines of Businesses (LoBs) with a strong focus on user-centricity & user experience. Supporting more than 90,000+ employees and thousands of SAP systems, IT Services is delivering business applications be it classical SAP or new SaaS solutions, mobile apps, web and SAP Cloud Platform-based applications, as well as workplace technology services covering hardware, client software and unified communications solutions. Fundamentally, IT Services is enabling SAP to become an Intelligent Enterprise.
Marketing Solutions as part of IES Customer Experience Solutions unit has a clear emphasis on delivering the end-to-end marketing experience. It combines the delivery, operations and services of sap.com, the SAP events & webinar platforms together with internal IT solutions and key external platforms to support the E2E marketing process. In addition, this unit is also responsible for the holistic business engagement, managing the technology portfolio and further development of our IT products, solution innovation and associated engineering (e.g. covering SAP CRM including Call Center, SAP Marketing Cloud, various applications based on SAP Cloud Platform as well as integration to key data sources and systems via SAP Cloud Integration). This position is in the IT Go-to-Market Services (GTMS) Marketing team within Marketing Solutions unit.

We also create internal success-stories and best practices also being leveraged for the external market to showcase at external events and sales activities how we “Run Simple” with our own solutions.
For our IT GTMS Marketing Team, we are looking for an entry-level IT Technical Associate Consultant/Developer focusing mainly on supporting latest Marketing Technology (MarTech) stack to enable our internal customer LoB Marketing to meet the objectives. Currently we use SAP Marketing Cloud, SAP CRM and latest SAP Integration technologies & platforms to support the End-to-End process respectively. In this role, you will be working with colleagues across the IES Organization, other development and business units across the globe to contribute (e.g. to strategic internal programs sponsored by SAP’s executive management).
You will be responsible for the following activities:
- Development covering design, coding/customization/configuration, testing and quality assurance of product feature
- Covering Quality Assurance measures including Test Automation
- Resolve issues within own area of expertise and support others in resolving issues.
- Adopt agile software engineering methodology to develop features in increments.
- Develop good product knowledge with the outlook to gain own product responsibility in future.
- Taking Operation responsibility for developed/enabled solutions as part of Marketing Solutions’ overall DevOps accountability together with service providers.
In addition, it is expected that you continuously enhance your practices to optimize the delivery of IT scope towards SAP LoBs, also by cooperating with the Agile and DevOps Competence Center in IES, and surrounding SAP’s IT functions. You will be reporting into the Head of IT GTMS – Marketing.

- Strong analytical skills, result-oriented paired with highly structured working style and good sense of responsibility, flexibility and team player
- Excellent Design, Configuration, and Programming skills
- You have a track record of being a hands-on expert
- Proficient in JAVA and JAVA SCRIPT
In addition, you are motivated, and you can also effectively work in/with cross-functional teams/stakeholders in an international as well as fast moving environment to explore and enhance the current product capabilities. Besides, you have excellent communication and presentation skills to address technical and non-technical audiences in English.
- Interest / Knowledge in latest technology trends in MarTech as well as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, etc. are beneficial and is a plus
- Knowledge/Background in Marketing (e.g. Marketing applications, Marketing Process Knowledge)
- Quality Assurance and Test Automation related experience a plus
- DevOps and CI/CD tools experience a plus
- Technically focused degree, preferably Master in Computer Science is a plus.
- 1 year work experience (including co-op) in professional software development is a plus (entry-level position)
