What impact will you have in this role?

In-line with the explosive growth of our Applied Innovation business, we are seeking an experienced Architect to direct our customers, providing pre-sales technical leadership on Microsoft’s Azure Platform (PaaS), showcasing a deep understanding of platform services and how to use these services to develop innovative and realisable designs within required timescales and to documented customer requirements. Once a design has been agreed, you will then take a delivery focussed mindset working with New Signature’s Technical Teams to implement the solution for the customer.

This is the largest AppDev programme at New Signature on a global scale and thus, we need an experienced client-facing Azure Software Architect who’s capable of building effective relationships with both Business & IT stakeholders, gathering requirements & delivering solutions with a hands-on approach.

What experience do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Strong software development background; requiring deep knowledge of architecture and design patterns utilising the following Development languages – C#, JavaScript, React, Angular
  • Enterprise design patterns
  • Best practices regarding Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
  • Cloud (PaaS) development platform services (Azure) and how to apply these correctly to the architecture and design of a customer solution
  • Is able to build and code limited proof of concepts using Microsoft tools e.g. C# in Visual Studio
  • Scaling models for services on Azure
  • Hybrid cloud solutions covering PaaS / IaaS where appropriate
  • Relational database best practices – SQL Server
  • Demonstrable experience of Azure Deployments within the last 6 months for production workload
  • Understanding on the pricing model of Azure services and its impact on solution architecture

Does the role require travel?

Yes – up to 25% of the time, largely in the Canada region.
