Job Summary

AECOM is seeking Entry Level Transportation Engineer/EIT to be based in Richmond Hill, ON, Whitby, ON, Kitchener, ON, or North Bay, ON.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Working on a wide range of transportation projects and tasks, and assisting with field research, data collection, data analysis, graphics, maps, data presentation, and report development
  • Performing operational analysis using specialized software packages such as Synchro, VISSIM, Aimsun, HCS, and Arcady
  • Demonstrating the ability to build trusting working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Familiarity with the principles of the Highway Capacity Manual and ITE Trip Generation Manual is preferred

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Traffic or Transportation Engineering or other related fields

Preferred Qualifications

  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
  • Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as of Land Desktop/AutoCAD, InRoads, InSite, and MicroStation)
