We arelooking for an inspiring Director, Data and Intelligence to join our team. Thisperson will be a skilled and strategic advisor to Communications teams andclients as they seek to bring data and intelligence (Human, Predictive,Performance) to their work. You are a seasoned Marketing and/or Communicationsprofessional, with a background in working with multi-disciplined teams. Youhave a strong working knowledge of consumer data sets (first, second and thirdparty), coupled with an understanding of the value of primary research(qualitative and quantitative), a solid understanding of secondary research anddigital performance-based analytics (including social media measurement &digital analytics across owned and paid), rounded out with highly-skilledclient relationship management skills. As a Director, your role will be tobring strategic data and intelligence thinking and advisory to your day-to-dayclient work, collaborate with craft specialist colleagues to integrate anddeliver industry leading DxI offerings, as well as supporting the long-termgrowth of our team by building successful relationships with your fellow teammembers, colleagues and clients.

BusinessLeader & Client Relationship Management

Inbusiness, it all starts with relationships. As a Director, Data andIntelligence, you will be a part of a multi-disciplined client leadership team(Creative, Planning, DxI) who work closely with the Global Client Relationshipmanager to represent all of the DxI offerings. Building relationships bothinternally and with clients will be critical to your success. Specifically, youwill be responsible for

  • Create, build andlead relationships with Edelman account teams and external clients to generatenew DxI business opportunities and build incremental/existing business
  • Drive revenue growthand profitability among client accounts to meet the firm’s revenue goals
  • Manage costs andIntelligence craft resources across the lifecycle of each project, manage thesuccessful delivery of DxI work, ultimately being responsible for clientsatisfaction
  • Establish areputation as a go-to data and intelligence expert advisor, both within theEdelman network and with clients, but also be deft at bringing our expert craftresources across Human Intelligence, Predictive Intelligence and PerformanceIntelligence into the conversations as needed
  • Provide high-levelclient service and consulting with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach

Strategic Business Consultant

Data doesn’t mean anything on its own – it needs to becontextualized, translated, and communicated effectively in order to realizeits value. At Edelman Data and Intelligence, we believe big insights are moreimpressive than “Big Data”, but we understand when and how to bring both intoour work. As a Director, Data and Intelligence, you will

  • Identify andunderstand business vs. brand vs. communication objectives and design researchand measurement approaches to ensure your team is working with actionableinsights supporting the creation of communication marketing plans, as well asarming your team to understand and communicate impact/ROI of theircommunications work
  • Play a central rolein leading and growing client accounts by identifying, clearly articulating andpursuing opportunities to introduce offerings associated with Human, Predictiveand Performance Intelligence
  • Inspiring andeducating teams and clients on how to bring data and intelligence into theirworkflows and what the outcomes will be
  • Provide strategiccounsel to clients throughout all stages of the research, measurement approachdesign, and/or performance planning
  • Provide advisory anddemonstrate a high-level technical knowledge to guide teams and clients inaligning/integrating Communications performance and audience data withmarketing data sets and strategies
  • Deliver compellingstrategic insights, effectively communicate a narrative/story that providesactionable recommendations for the client that are aligned to their businessand communications objectives

You’re setupfor success if

Qualified candidates have most, if not all, of the following…

  • BA/BS degree inrelated field with at least 10 years of experience in consumer data or digitalanalytics, leveraging marketing or communications technology, market research,brand and communication consulting, insights creation, strategy developmentand/or media research
  • Fluently speak thelanguages of measurement (owned, earned, paid), insights and reporting,consumer data sets, communications, marketing, business, and research – andtailor those communications to audiences of all levels of expertise
  • Proven teammanagement and leadership skills
  • Demonstratedexperience in various types of research engagements including corporatereputation, thought leadership, measurement and campaign/strategy optimizationand brand positioning
  • Experience inworking for multiple brands and/or clients across a diversity of industries atonce
  • Proactive, collaborative approachwith the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Intellectuallycurious with a consultative mindset
