Position Summary

We are looking for a Consumer Insights Analyst for Nespresso based at our Montreal location reporting into the Lead, Consumer Insights. The incumbent will have fantastic analytical skills and developed marketing research methodologies. A large part of this role will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of quantitative and qualitative research studies, in order to collect data on the coffee market, Nespresso customers and competitors.

A day in the life of…

As a Consumer Insights Analyst, you will:

Complete management of quantitative and qualitative research projects:
• Support the Lead Consumer Insights in setting up and monitoring quantitative and qualitative studies responding to the needs and issues of the various internal teams
• Recommend the methodologies best suited to research needs
• Oversee request for proposals and selection of external agencies
• Manage the relationship with external agencies, negotiate budgets
• Contribute to the design of questionnaires and interview guides
• Testing online questionnaires
• Programming and management of surveys using a survey software platform
• Contribute to data analysis and formatting of study reports
• Interpret results, write key conclusions, present strategic recommendations
• Develop summary documents of research results from detailed reports
• Set up specific data analyzes to explore certain issues
• Follow market trends and best practices in the field of marketing research

Budget and invoicing management
• Manage the research budget, invoicing and the creation of purchase orders
• Lead the creation of all purchase orders, invoice according to company guidelines
• Track invoicing and budget on a regular basis

What will make you successful

As the successful candidate, you will need to be results focused, comfortable with summarizing complex information, enjoy managing relationships with internal & external stakeholders and really enjoy working in an exciting environment. You will already have some marketing and consumer insights experience. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as is your ability to understand and work within our competitive market.

You will also have:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing research, preferably in an agency
• Bilingualism (French and English)
• Strong knowledge of market research techniques, both quantitative and qualitative
• Experience with online survey tools (ex: Qualtrics, Survey Monkey)
• Strong skills in analysing and interpreting numbers
• Ability to synthesize information and know how to present it in a clear and concise manner
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Great thoroughness, rigor, attention to detail
• Good organizational skills and clear-sighted prioritization
• Excellent project and budget management skills
• Ability to multitask, within sometimes tight deadlines and to work at a sustained pace in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team
• In-depth knowledge of MS Office / Excel / PowerPoint software
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing / Statistics / Management or a related field of study (Master’s degree is an asset)
