Job Level

As a business intelligence and client insight analyst, you help develop and use tools and methods to collect, compile, model and restore the organization’s physical and non-physical data to establish governance, help decision-makers understand the big picture and inform decisions.

You analyze and help diagnose issues and situations related to your field. You provide opinions in accordance with the rules of your discipline and help develop recommendations and implementation plans. You develop work tools, methods and processes. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work.

You share ideas and help solve problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the line of business. You leverage your ability to manage complex situations. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields.

More specifically, you are part of a team whose mandate is to develop member and client knowledge to support decision-making for the Insurance, Wealth Management and Business sectors. You are responsible for the development, production and updating of publications and regular processes for Business clients. You also work with the team’s advisors to support the marketing strategy, product line management and manufacturing teams with their analysis and monitoring requirements, by using and analyzing the data available and by developing, managing and monitoring key indicators. You are comfortable and have relevant experience with business intelligence, information environments, databases and the use of data. You are thorough, detail-oriented, work well with others to achieve shared objectives, are action- and results-focused, and demonstrate a determined and efficient approach.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science or computer science
  • A minimum of two year of relevant experience
  • Experience in business intelligence, management information and/or data analysis

Specific knowledge

  • Knowledge of SAS and SQL
  • Knowledge of visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI (an asset)
  • Familiarity with databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL)
  • Knowledge of the financial sector (an asset)
