Qualifications:

  • Business, Science, Technology or related field College/University degree from a recognized higher education institution;
  • Recognized Business Analysis certification or diploma of professional IT Business Analysis courses is an advantage;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT business analysis or equivalent experience, preferably working in an Agile environment;
  • 2-3 years experience converting business requirements into functional specifications to define product criteria and system design;
  • 2-3 years experience in a Business Analyst or Business System Analyst role working with enterprise software SaaS architecture products is an advantage;
  • Expert knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Software Development (SDLC)

What a new hire will be responsible for:

  • Be a key part of agile project approaches where solutions are designed and evolved in phases and sprints to meet client requirements and software product roadmap;
  • Act as the communication hub for software product/solution information both internally and externally with all stakeholders;
  • Translate high level objectives from Product owner and clients into measurable functional requirements;
  • Gather, analyze, understand, and document requirements and business cases;
  • Elicit, analyze, document and validate functional & non-functional requirements using a variety of tools including research, interviews, document analysis, and process analysis with an understanding of how to derive user stories and features from analysis models;
  • Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the client to achieve business objectives;
  • Manage and communicate evolving business requirements & functional design documents through complete project life cycle;
  • Support the review, prioritization, and sizing of product change requests;
  • Create and manage detailed user stories either for software product configurations or new system features, so that they are clearly understood by the technical and business teams;
  • Create BRD, Functional Design and Specifications ensuring written documentation is clear, understandable, audience-appropriate and accurately captures the key information required for a quality solution that meets business needs and technical solution;
  • Identify and assess potential alternate solutions leveraging existing Product capabilities, where possible;
  • Analyse business requirements to determine the systems’ potential and define impact on other system components, interfaces and processes;
  • Perform impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system;
  • Support the development team in completion of impact assessments and validation of effort estimates;
  • Working with Account Managers and Product team to establish configuration management procedures, effective micro project management, and delivery processes for the final solution;
  • Collaboratively work with the architects and development teams to implement integrated processes and technology solutions;
  • Assist with the prioritization of initial feature development and ongoing change requests;
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with all levels of stakeholders including Clients, Product Owner, R&D, UX and QA;

What candidate is bringing to the team:

  • Experience in creating and documenting business requirements, specifications, and solution designs in a software development environment, ideally working hands-on with Product owners, Development and QA groups with end-to-end feature development;
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development;
  • Demonstrable history of successfully delivering product features and project deliverables
  • High adaptability to learn new business domains, processes, platforms and technologies on the fly in a dynamic Agile environment;
  • An ability to communicate systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both business user-friendly and technical language within organization and with external clients;
  • Ability to understand business needs, goals and objectives while mapping them to the functional requirements;
  • Potential to distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs and negotiate with business units to reduce or eliminate the gap and improve the alignment of business needs;
  • Ability to think big picture and deliver small chunks on a daily/weekly basis;
  • Excellent facilitator and interviewer with an ability to pull out deeper business needs;
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving project environment;
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork skills;
  • Customer and value always focused;
  • Ability to conceptualize solutions from scratch facilitating consensus on scope, design, and implementation decisions;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of understanding and modeling of the organization core business processes and operations;
  • Must possess excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to assume intellectual ownership and possess strong attention to details and commitment to delivering quality product;
  • Strong interest in challenges, eagerness to collaboratively solve issues with innovative and efficient approach;

Technical skills:

  • Understanding of Webservices/Microservices architecture and API Skills
  • Must have a concept of code
  • Proficiency in Atlassian Suite such as JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience with functional specifications and system design for RESTful API applications is an asset
  • Strong Knowledge of project/IT lifecycle using Agile methodology
  • Systems Analyst/Business Systems Analyst or Product Owner/Technical Product Owner End to End Solution architecture
  • Database structures and relational database design and modeling RESTFUL/JSON schema and micro services design
