What You Will Do

The Pricing Analyst will develop and implement financial, statistical and analytical tools to provide the business with insights on pricing, contract performance and profitability across product lines. This individual will manage pricing policies and processes (e.g. pricing floors/ceilings, etc.) and implement approved strategies. In addition, this individual will provide insightful analytics and dashboards to support key business decisions. This role provides partnership and support to sales, marketing, customer service, and finance. This individual must serve as a contributing member of the pricing team while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis and insights related to sales channel performance, customer and market trends, and other internal and external factors that may impact key account performance, Shared Services Organizations (SSO) and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO)
  • Enhance current pricing structure and operations to optimize pricing outcomes, including maintaining and enhancing the Profitability Analytics tool with annual and ad-hoc updates
  • Collaborate with proposal delegates and marketing to provide profitability analysis guidance and profitability analysis on assigned proposal submissions, contract, contract extensions and amendments
  • Conveys the business Strategy to the BUD/Finance/Legal delegates for proposals and obtain the required approvals for profitability analysis
  • Obtain the required approvals for profitability submissions, contract amendments and quotes
  • Proactively manage or unwind historic pricing discounts through consultation and alignment with sales management
  • Provide support for the management of the pricing email inboxes and pricing discrepancies
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve customer experience
  • Maintain a good understanding of procurement at the hospital, regional, provincial and national buying group levels to ensure alignment with customer and government-imposed terms and conditions
  • Analyze rebate calculations and payments, ensuring accuracy by reviewing rebate output from FORMA AI and approving prior to submission to shared services for payment
  • Ensure contract compliance and reporting for Rebates highlighting risks and opportunities to the commercial team
  • Support the sales, marketing and key account managers with ad-hoc analysis
  • Key member on implementation of major initiatives and integrations such as SAP and (ServiceMax) and Malbek
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred concentration in Commerce/Business/Finance/Math/Statistics
  • 2+ years of accounting/statistical/analysis experience strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of pricing experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English and French strongly preferred
  • Completion of a CMA/CGA/CA designation preferred
  • Advanced Data Manipulation skills (designing, building and maintaining files in Microsoft Excel/and or Access and PowerBI) strongly preferred
  • Healthcare sector experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and manage projects to a timely conclusion
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable dealing with all levels of management
  • Knowledge/experience dealing with Oracle, Power BI and Cognos software or similar systems preferred
