At IBM, work is more than a job – it’s a calling: To build. To design. To code. To consult. To think along with clients and sell. To make markets. To invent. To collaborate. Not just to do something better, but to attempt things you’ve never thought possible. Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world’s most challenging problems? If so, lets talk.

Your Role and Responsibilities

This is a Student On Call position, that will allow the selected candidate to work up to 20 hours per week. The start date for this student on call position is January 2021 (4 month term) – Markham, ON

IBM Developer Skills Network is part of the Developer Ecosystem Group. We engage closely with all business units of IBM, academic institutions, and customers large and small. As part of our open source mission, we work closely with various open source communities as both contributors and users. We containerize and orchestrate at scale. We apply machine learning, AI, and blockchain. We do cool things on mobile. We dabble in Golang, Elixir, and everything else that’s cool and new. We care about your passion and competence, not the number of years.

You will be involved with the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of a large-scale content syndication and learning management system. Deployed across four continents and several data centers, your code will affect several millions of people worldwide. If you ever wanted to help build something akin to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store but for education, this is your opportunity.
